What is the difference between kratom and 7-OH?

Kratom is the whole-leaf plant people have used for centuries. Its primary alkaloid is mitragynine, supported by up to 40 other naturally occurring alkaloids that work together to produce balanced, strain-specific effects.

7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) is a secondary alkaloid present in trace amounts in the leaf between 0.01%-0.05%, which many vendors synthetically spike to inflate potency. Mount Kratom does not sell 7-OH, and all of our products are third-party tested at an ISO-accredited lab for potency, contaminants, and heavy metals.
